establishing Pakistan's largest biomethane project.
At Biowaste Energy Ventures Limited (BEVL), we are offering a sustainable, cost-effective solution to Pakistan’s energy crisis: Biomethane.
A first of its kind biomethane project
At Biowaste Energy Ventures Limited (BEVL), we are offering a sustainable, cost-effective solution to
Pakistan’s energy crisis: Biomethane.
Our project is setting a new benchmark in renewable energy. BEVL’s state-of-the-art production
facility transforms biowaste, including cow dung and vegetable waste, into biomethane (biogas) with
the aim of contributing to both energy independence and environmental sustainability in Pakistan.
BEVL is helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint, lower energy costs, and ensure compliance
with global environmental standards
Our Mission
Converting Waste into capital
Transforming Waste into Energy, Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow
We aim to revolutionize Pakistan’s energy sector by transforming organic waste into renewable
biomethane, creating a cleaner, greener, and more energy-independent future for the nation.
Offsetting for Impact
BEVL is on course to be the Single Largest Private Sector Voluntary Carbon Offsets holder in Pakistan
(Carbon Avoidance).
The project is expected to achieve annual emission reductions of over 500,000 tCO₂e by
implementing biowaste management solutions—focused on manure and agricultural waste—and by
substituting fossil fuels currently used by end-users.
In July 2025, the MoCC granted BEVL an LOI for our project aligned with the Pakistan Policy
Guidelines for Trading in Carbon Markets. This marks a landmark achievement as the first private
sector bioenergy project in Pakistan to receive an LOI enabling carbon trading under Article 6.2 of
the Paris Agreement, and only the third such LOI issued in the country
BEVL’s facility converts cow dung and fruit & vegetable waste into bioenergy. The principal product,
biogas, is a clean-burning fuel derived from organic waste. Additional processing converts this into
biomethane, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional fossil fuels.
As a result, this green fuel reduces carbon footprint and dependence on non-renewable resources
and encourages sustainable industrial practices.
